St. Louis Storytelling Festival – Youth Concert

Got a child in your life who can always explain why their homework isn’t done?  Or do they have the younger siblings screaming in fear with “The Story Of The Potty Monster”?  It’s time to focus that creative energy into something that will look great when the judge asks “And why should I cut you a break?”

The storytellers, parents, and teacher/mentor will meet in the library’s meeting room on the second level.  Grandparents and friends are welcome to attend.

Concert tellers should be 3rd grade through High School and must have a parent or teacher to sponsor them.  Stories may be up to 8 minutes long, and may include folktales, fairy tales, personal stores, and literary stories.

Please send the following information to Marilyn Kinsella, markinsella19 (at)

  • Name of Student
  • Name of Mentor/Teacher
  • Name of School and Grade Level
  • Title and Author of the story, if available
  • T-shirt size

Each student will receive a program, an official St. Louis Storytelling Festival T-shirt, a certificate, and a storytelling book or CD.
